Infant Classroom:
The infant classroom is licensed for 7 infants ranging in age from 6 weeks to 15 months with 2 educators.
Curriculum for the infant classroom is done monthly and is based on each individual infant since all the children will be learning and growing at their own pace. We do incorporate all the program goals into their daily activities and curriculum.
Each child's schedule is different and based on their needs. This unique schedule is very important, so we will have you fill out a daily schedule form which will be kept on their own clipboard and updated as needed.
We will supply the crib sheet, and parents will supply a sleep sack if needed. Parents will also supply bottles (either breastmilk which will be stored in the fridge or filled with water and a can of formula for us to make as needed. We ask that parents try new foods at home first and then bring in to school. Parents will provide diapers, wipes, extra clothes, bibs, pacifiers. Everything that you bring into school should have a label on it with your child's name, so we do not lose anything.
Communication is very important so please call, email, text or write in on your child's daily sheet. You will fill out the daily sheet with important information which is how we will base the rest of your child's day. We will then send that sheet home at the end of the day, so you know what happened at school that day! Progress reports are done every 3 months for infants
Toddler/Preschool Room:
The Toddler/ Preschool Room is licensed for 9 children with 2 educators. This room can have ages ranging from as young as 15 months up through age 3-3 1/2 .
Curriculum is done weekly based on a theme for the week. We do incorporate the program goals into their daily activities and curriculum.
We do have a schedule for this classroom that we do try to follow the best we can. We do like to keep the daily schedule the same so the children can get into a routine. During the day the children will have snack, circle time, project time, outside time, lunch, rest and in the afternoon, we will have a repeat of the morning. Diapers will be done every 3 hours or as needed. Parents will supply a fitted crib sheet, blanket and a stuffed animal for their child to sleep with. Parents also provide lunch for their child- we suggest that they come in with a main meal and then fruit, veggies and a snack. Brown Bear Academy does provide a morning and afternoon snack. We are a NUT AND EGG FREE center.

The preschool room is licensed for 10 children with 1 educator. The age in the preschool room is 3- 3 1/2 and up. The children in this classroom do have to be fully potty trained.
